The exchange rate for the 18 wallet currencies supported for in-app exchange is locked in immediately when you exchange currencies or make a purchase. It will not change after the transaction. If you notice a change in the exchange rate for these currencies, contact our Customer Experience Team for assistance.
For the remaining 150+ currencies, the YouTrip app displays an indicative Wholesale Exchange Rate from Mastercard at the time of the transaction. The final rate is confirmed when the merchant completes the transaction, usually within 1–2 days and up to 14 days after your purchase. As the indicative rate is subject to change, the final transaction amount may differ slightly.
These changes are due to fluctuations in the foreign exchange market. The final transaction will always use the Mastercard-confirmed Wholesale Exchange Rate, with no additional fees or markup.
